Currently the Victim’s Association for Peace and Development, ASVIPAD works in the following fields of intervention in an articulated and complementary way:
Process designed to improve the female victims’ skills and the capacities of public and private institutions in the effective use of resources to achieve the proposed objective in a sustainable manner. Among the most important capacities is those aimed to influence public policies.
Process focused on the peaceful management of conflicts and the promotion of a culture of non-violence and the enforcement of human rights.
Process designed for female victims can access to justice mechanisms and institutional care routes to guarantee their rights.
Process focused on rebuilding the community fabric and the female victims’ resilience.
Process focused on improving the living conditions of female victims and their family nucleus.
To carry out its work, the Victim’s Association for Peace and Development, ASVIPAD implements the following strategies:
Through the creation of pluralistic scenarios, this way the victims make public catharsis of their pain to be heard by society, in order to build collective memory, as an instrument to promote peace.
Empowerment of victims and this way they become the main actors and managers in the processes of enforceability of their human rights to achieve fundamental changes in their life projects.
Pedagogy directed to the sectors that are in the capacity to make decisions and to the circles of political and social power, which traditionally had not included victims in their public agenda.
To implement its mission and general objectives, the Victim’s Association for Peace and Development, ASVIPAD develops various types of activities and actions that are focused in a coherent and articulated way towards the achievement of objectives and results of specific projects, which are developed with the support of national and international organizations.
